Technical description

• Consists of one housing with two covers, one rotor and several integrated vanes
• Radial loads are taken by two self-lubricated radial bearings
• Axial loads are taken by an integrated self-lubricated rudder carrier bearing
• Self-developed seals avoid outer oil leakage and reduce internal oil flows between oil chambers
• Designed for hydraulic mounting on a conical rudder stock (oil grooves at rudder stock)
• Integrated mechanical stoppers
• Mechanical rudder angle indicator (scale and pointer)

Technical description

• Each HPU is equipped with at least: one oil tank, one electrical motor and one hydraulic pump
• Closed-loop hydraulic circuit with variable displacement pump
• Safety valves protect the actuator from overload pressure
• Oil filters remove particles from the oil, increasing the lifetime of the hydraulic system
• Temperature sensor and oil-level switches provide monitoring information for the alarm system
• Air coolers ensure compliance with the upper permissible oil temperature
• Up to two HPUs can be mounted on one transport grid
