Becker Marine Systems appoints Mark Ma as new General Manager of BMS Shanghai

Becker Marine Systems is strengthening its presence in China with the appointment of Mark Ma as the new General Manager of Becker Marine Systems Shanghai.

In this role, he will be responsible for all functions in Shanghai including Sales & Business Development, Supply Chain, Order Processing, Service, Administration, HR and Finance, ensuring that the company is well positioned to meet the growing demands of the Chinese market.

At the same time, Jörg Haase will now focus fully on Becker’s production site in Zhenjiang. From there, he will assume primary responsibility for production and the associated Production Management and Production Control activities (also for our external manufacturers).

Mark Ma brings with him a strong international background in the maritime and industrial sectors. He started his career at Royal IHC in the Netherlands, gained further leadership experience in the Asia-Pacific region, and holds a Master’s degree in Marine Technology from TU Delft.

Commenting on his priorities, Mark Ma said: “My priority is to enhance our value to clients. We will achieve this by streamlining our business processes, strengthening our local team, and developing key enabling functions within Becker Marine Systems Shanghai.”
