Bahri orders three Becker Mewis Ducts® for VLCCs

24^th October 2018: The excellent partnership of Becker Marine Systems and Bahri, the national shipping carrier of Saudi Arabia, has again been strengthened by the order for three further Becker Mewis Ducts® for Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs). Becker’s Energy-Saving Devices will be installed on 318,000 dwt VLCCs, resulting in savings of up of to 6% of energy in scantling draught. The additional order will bring the number of Bahri’s VLCCs equipped with Becker Mewis Ducts® to 14 vessels, adding to a total of 32 Becker Mewis Ducts® in service for various ship types of the Bahri fleet.
